D5 Update Options

Auto Updater - This model sets up the D5 client to update itself. It will check for the latest version, download it and update the needed components. This auto updater is configurable and able to check for updates on a scheduled basis or whenever it connects to the system (default). 

• By default the update process behaves like an install. The updater will guide the agent through the process and ask them to restart the system. 

• Configurable options would be:

  • Silent update

  • No system restart

Agent Driven Updates - This model has the agent run the updater.exe included in the install location. Once that process has started it behaves the same as the Auto Updater.

IT Driven Updates - This model requires that the IT team get a new MSI package from Capacity and push the updated install package to their agents when they are ready to perform the update.
